The Best[06/27] Amped!
When I began to go back through this year's crop of posts I was a little nervous: I thought this was a terrible year for blogging. And then, I kept finding post after post that I had 1) completely forgotten and 2) completely forgotten how good they were. And then I hit the jackpot! This one is pretty much the blog embodiment of me: it's overly-researched, it's music-obsessed, multiple stories are recounted, stats are taken, and I couldn't stop thinking about it until it was perfect.
Runner Up[05/20] Silence Can Be Violence
My blogs mainly consist of humor, sarcasm and analysis. Anything else seems "outside" of my voice and usually induce cringing upon re-reading. So it's to some surprise how well this post came out. It's angry, reactionary and raw and still very "me." In case I haven't personally informed you, I must apologize, as I still don't think it's an appropriate time for full disclosure. But I think you get the gist of it.
The Worst[06/03] The Late 90's: A Hit or Miss Period of Music
During a seemingly world-wide blog slump, I thought I could force myself back into writing by posting boring entertainment reviews. This blog is so uninspired and unworthy of anyone's time I couldn't even get myself to read it while looking for the best and worst blogs. Pure garbage that should (but, sadly, won't) be deleted.
Runner Up[02/04] Master of My Domain
I was involved in an intense exercise contest with some of my friends and what do I chose to blog about? Stats I took from my amateur basketball league games. I could maybe see readers being interested in an end-of-the-season recap or a YouTube video of highlights or something ... but stats? They're not even all that excited about the real stats I do for actual, professional basketball. What was I thinking?
